Title: “Carbon Capture Now”

Brandon Seale serves as the President of Howard Energy Ventures, overseeing Howard’s business lines in hydrogen, carbon capture, and Mexico.

In the course of his career as an international energy entrepreneur, Brandon started and later sold a successful solar company and was appointed to Mayor Julian Castro’s Green Jobs Leadership Council. Brandon also served as CEO for Zaragoza Resources and Director of International Projects for Lewis Energy Group. He has worked extended stints in Colombia and México, including most recently as the President of Howard Energy México where he developed and placed in-service more than a half dozen projects connecting Texas producers with Mexican consumers, including a 200-mile, 30" natural gas transportation pipeline from Laredo to Monterrey and over 700,000 barrels of storage along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Brandon is currently a director of the Texas Lyceum and Honorary Commander for the Inter-American Air Forces Academy. He is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio and in 2018 was selected for a 40 Under 40 recognition by the San Antonio Business Journal. He has previously served on the Board of LiftFund and was a co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law at the University of Texas.

With degrees in Philosophy (Washington and Lee University), Law (University of Texas), and Business (University of Texas, with coursework at ITESM-Monterrey), Brandon also writes and records stories about the intersection of Texas and Mexican cultures. He has published books in English and in Spanish, and his most recent podcast - “A New History of Old Texas” - has been download more than 350,000 times.
